Now with a playlist!
- Max Cooper - Swapped / Stereoscopic Dive: Swapped is an intense noisy single. Stereoscopic Dive is more of his usual rhythmic ambient stuff. Vertebrea / Forgotten Places is almost drum n’ bass, with vocals by Kathryn deBoar. Her voice reminds me of Béatrice Bonifassi’s voice on DJ Champion’s No Heaven.
- Maribou State – Midas: A chill song fit for an afternoon in the park, if it wasn’t so damn hot. Perfect for a Copenhagen afternoon-in-the-park party.
- Tarta Relena – El suïcidi i el cant
- Laila Biali – Got to Love
- Snarky Puppy – Sleeper: I think it’s my first time listening to a full Snarky Puppy album despite a friend mentioning them nearly a decode ago. This particular song reminds me of Brad Mehldau & Mark Guiliana’s Taming the Dragon. This video of Larnell Lewis during the recording of the album We Like It Here trigger my listening. Via Kottke.
- Yaeji – For Granted: I think they’ve listened to Everything in Its Right Place quite a bit.
- Bad Snacks – Let’s Go (299 Mill): Short, gritty bass-centric groove.
- underscores – Locals (Girls like us) [with gabby start]
- Son Lux – No Crimes (New History): All the ingredients of a solid Son Lux song. (Update: it’s a remix, so yeah, duh.)
